      Guide

While I was a student, I spend my summers as a tour leader in busses with French guests, mostly traveling from Montreal, to Quebec, to Ottawa, to Toronto to Niagara Falls. I discovered the french people, and friendship is still strong. I discovered my country through their eyes, and the "tourist curiosity" is still very much a part of my every day.

My student winter job was in a hotel close to school. As a hotel receptionist, I made guests feel welcome, manages room bookings, and dealt with requests from guests.

    • Scan travel partners

      Feb 1996 - Dec 1999
      Operations manager

The french department of Scan Travel Partners was specialized in organized trips mainly in Norway - from Oslo to Bergen and the fjords, or from Oslo and up to North Cape. I was responsible for the operational management of the trips. In practice, this meant reserving hotels, restaurants, guides, ferries, museums for about 40 groups / 1500 guests per summer. This also meant sending rooming lists, menu choices, briefs to the drivers and the tour leader, paying all the bills, sending the invoices to the clients, and managing the many everyday problems (and the bigger one) of my groups. And once in a while, I would take my "tour leader hat" on, and would be the one in the bus 40 curious french tourist! Show less

    • Bdp event, cruise & learning expeditions

      Jan 2012 - Feb 2021
Event & meeting designer in denmark and sweden

BDP is one of the leading Destination Management Companies in Denmark and Sweden. I worked in the Business Event, specialized in the handling of custom-made incentive programs, corporate meetings, product launches, study tours, and creative events. My job was different from day to day but consisted mainly of finding the perfect hotel, venues, and visits to create the tour that matched my client's story and budget. Negotiating, contracting and budgeting colored it all, as well as a lot of coordination and planning. I was specialized in sustainable green tours. The result could be an exclusive gala evening, a visit of hidden beehives, looking after a super VIP, or managing the airport transfers of hundreds of delegates coming to a conference. Great job! Greeting guests from all over the world in my home is the best part-time job ever. I enjoy talking with my guests about everyday life, cultural difference, and sharing good stories. I also gladly help them discover the hidden gems of the city (and the Lille Mermaid when they insist). https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15862390

    • Cobalt dmc

      May 2021 - now
      Event designer & partner

Covid 19 has shown us very clearly the effect of tourism, both positive and negative. Back in 2015, the United Nations agreed on 17 goals for a better world by 2030. Tourism has the potential to contribute, directly or indirectly, to all of these goals. And I will definitely be part of this contribution. Copenhagen - my adoptive hometown - is a green capital with a cycling culture, a love for local and seasonal food, many eco-labeled hotels, wind energy, innovative district heating, so the choices are endless. With a good dose of vigilance, creativity and curiosity, we will create events, study trips, fam trips that are beneficial for the environment. Join the movement! Show less
