  • Working with Samutthana to improve patients’ access to varied and thoughtful therapy.• Planning and executing therapeutic activities with patients at the National Institute of Mental Health, including patients on intermediate, acute and forensic wards. • Working with clients in residential homes for men and women with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. Planning lessons and activity sessions to engage and enhance learning of everyday tasks and fine motor skills.• Teaching English as a foreign language to Sri Lankan children and adults in a variety of settings. This included independent lesson planning and preparation.• Regular seminars and workshops organised by Samutthana featuring field experts speaking about relevant subjects such as psychology within a Sri Lankan context, PTSD in Sri Lanka, meditation and creative therapy, improving communication with individuals with learning difficulties and positive listening. • Field trip accompanying a leading psychologist in Sri Lanka, during his clinical outreach visits.
