      This position involved managing the scientific investigation, strategic direction and finances of a series of collaborative research projects between academic, clinical and industrial partners. All research projects were focused on developing the functionality of biopolymers for a number of applications within the pharmaceutical and medical industries. The projects were financed through industrial, government and research council funding and were at various stages of development from proof of concept to early clinical development. Potentially novel work was protected, published and used to forge further collaborations or establish strategic partnerships through licensing agreements, royalty streams or one off payments. We partner internally and externally to drive the standard of Self Care within our key markets by delivering medical insights, ensuring medical oversight and driving evidence strategies linked to the overall category strategies.
