All research projects were focused on developing the functionality of biopolymers for a number of applications within the pharmaceutical and medical industries. The projects were financed through industrial, government and research council funding and were at various stages of development from proof of concept to early clinical development. The Self Care business encompasses gastro-intestinals (GI), sore throat and pain categories with global powerbrands such as Gaviscon, Strepsils and Nurofen. We partner internally and externally to drive the standard of Self Care within our key markets by delivering medical insights, ensuring medical oversight and driving evidence strategies linked to the overall category strategies. We are also responsible for the amplification of our evidence and science within the wider scientific and healthcare communities associated with our categories to protect, heal and nurture in the relentless pursuit of a cleaner and healthier world.
