      Responsible for leading groups of up to 16 students from grades three to ten on multi-day wilderness expeditions (hike or canoe) or site based camps. Responsibilities were student safety and first aid, teaching camp craft and outdoors skills, facilitating canoeing/abseiling sessions, and group facilitation (debriefs, conflict resolution). An outdoor education traineeship based on a property in the Southern Highlands. Assistant group lead on a variety of expedition based programs, including hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, white water rafting, back-country skiing and horse riding. Responsibilities included assisting with the group, facilitating activities, and managing the gear storage facility. Received a Certificate III in outdoor recreation as part of the formal training.

      Visiting Student Researcher

      I spent seven months at JPL under the JPL Visiting Student Researcher Program while completing my honours thesis. As part of the Tango on Racing Quadcopters (TORQ) program, I developed a novel trajectory optimization algorithm for aerobatic quadrotor flight. I also contributed to C++ and Python software development for quadrotor GNC.
