      As part of university project for broadcast over the community channel, I co-produced and write 4*30 minute magazine style programs. We covered a diverse set of subjects from local care facilities, exciting days out to unsigned local bands.Each show needed its own identity as well as to be able to connect with the previous/forthcoming shows, writing such character into said programming was challenging and overall fulfilling.

For the production, i set up communication channels between the venue, the technicians and myself to prep the stage for the performance and see to the access needs of the disabled performers. During the performance i would initiate all stage turn arounds and onstage technical needs in conjunction with the performance running order.Post performance, once the stage was clear, i secured the various items that were the Orchestras and the rented materials; seeing to their return/pickup.Pre rehearsal date and performance, I sourced/cultivated links to percussion and stand rentals for the final performance along with technical production companies to both record the performance and install a PA system within the venue for the love audience attending. The role has both office and hands on remits to expedite the needs of the Events department team and the Cultural Programming department teams.When facilitating external productions im tasked with synergising the venues capacities to the scope to the event where a third party has been engaged. From calculating power needs, quoting rental of available equipment to rearranging the multiple spaces of in house tech for cleaner entry and egress within the timeframes agreed upon.As to internal productions by the cultural team, i am engaged to design CAD plans, build Stage/LX/SND rigs and hire technicians to run the performance; often with restricted budgets.The role has me balancing the departments budget for forthcoming productions as well as holding position as the equipment manager to have the tools needed down the line and health and safety monitor for the individuals in my charge that have been called to build the show. Inside my technical department i have set out to expand the casual technician pool and expand links to equipment suppliers for cleaner network alliances. Show less
