We teach with the goal that the lessons learned will withstand students’ lifelong pursuit of truth and civic engagement.This course provides a broad introduction to the diverse legal world and its various practice areas while engaging with intellectual discourse on civil rights, free speech, and how citizens of a society engage with legal systems in place. Students will explore what motivates lawyers to practice law and consider firsthand whether a life in the law is a fit for them, while simultaneously engaging with the intellectual discourse on civil rights, free speech and how citizens of a society engage with the legal systems in place.
