    • Bank of Montreal

      Jul 2009 - Mar 2011
      Customer Service Representative

While working at BMO, I was the first contact a client would have while visiting the branch and assisted personal and commercial clients with their everyday banking needs. This allowed me to build and maintain customer relationships, and be able to refer them to our financial sales managers for products that could benefit them further with their banking needs. This also meant we had to work as a team within the bank and know enough about each others roles to make sure we referred our clients to the most suitable team member. Show less

    • Budget Backpackers

      Sept 2011 - Mar 2012
      Receptionist

Administration was my main duty while working in this 250 bed hostel which included bookings and enquiries via email, telephone, and online booking platforms, check ins/outs, taking payments, as well as organizing the long-stay facilities. I also sold tours to the Highlands via numerous local companies and was the top seller 4 months in a row. I assisted with social media management via Facebook, Twitter, and Trip Advisor, and also led historical walking tours and pub crawls for guests consisting of group sizes of 2-50. Show less

    • Busabout, HAGGiS & Shamrocker Adventures

      Mar 2012 - Oct 2012
      On Board Tour Guide

As a Tour Manager, I was responsible for guiding groups of up to 55 travellers through 9 countries and 33 cities on hop-on hop-off tours around Europe. I also had the opportunity to spend 8 weeks leading sailing tours along the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia and working and attending major festivals like San Fermin and Oktoberfest. It was my duty to provide information including history, culture, food, and languages as well as assisting with accommodation bookings. I also did on board excursion sales daily, and had to keep in constant contact with suppliers at each stop. Because my "office" was on the road, great organization and discipline was required to keep track of receipts, expenses, and tour reports. Show less

    • BrewDog

      Nov 2012 - Apr 2013
      Bartender

My time with BrewDog was short but sweet. I had to leave the company due to my initial visa coming to an end, but it did introduce me to the rise in craft beer in Scotland. My duties at BrewDog as a bartender included beverage and food preparation as well as leading beer school classes a few shifts per week. Working here definitely peaked my interest in the craft beer revolution in the UK and is the main reason I have such an interest in it to this day. I pride myself in my vast knowledge of breweries, beer styles, and the brewing process and enjoy sharing it with others. Show less

    • Stockbridge Tap

      Sept 2013 - Oct 2015
      Assistant Manager

As Assistant Manager, I assisted in running and managing a team of 7 and am in charge of things such as cash balancing, deposits, opening and closing of pub, and managing stock levels. Since I began working at this establishment, we have been awarded as the CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ales) Pub of the Year for 2014 and 2015, as well as the 2015 Regional Pub of the Year. Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance, and I really feel the pub is so popular due to the staff teamwork and commitment to the customer experience with a great knowledge of ales, wines, and spirits. I work very hard to train new staff to an equal high standard, so all customers can count on a similar experience every time. Show less

I currently have one regular retainer client and a handful of projects in the plans/works which allows me to be quick flexible with my time and offering. I'm available for assistance in social media management, copywriting for web & SEO, email marketing projects, Facebook advertising and more. Show less
