All tanks fabricated to API 650 13th Edition.Project fabrication consisted:x 4 Tanks (300 cubic meters) each.x 2 Carbon safety vibration screens underpan 24 tons steel of steel each.x 1 Tailing carbon safety screen feed launder 13 tons of steel.x 1 Cyanide bag breaker 2 tons of steel.x 2 Vibration screen feed boxes 16 tons of steel.x 2 Gravity scalping oversize chute 81 tons of steel.x 2 Gravity scalping screens feed chute 73 tons of steel.x 1 Carbon safety screen distribution box 31 tons of steel.x 2 Vibration screens oversize chutes 60 tons of steel.All equipment was primed, blast and painted. A 3 coat system was used primed, intermediate and top coat consisting of 100 microns on each.       Grande-Cote Operations (GCO) is a heavy mineral sands operation located along the Grande-Cote of Senegal, between Dakar and Saint-Louis. It comprises a large floating dredge, a supplementary land based mobile Dry Mining Unit (DMU) and a floating Wet Concentrator Plant (WCP), as well as a fixed Mineral Separation Plant (MSP).The Concentrator produces a Heavy Mineral Concentrate (HMC) through a series of spirals circuit. The GCO Expansion Phase 2, is now execution and it entails the expansion and Debottlenecking of the WCP and MSP facilities respectively. Show less Zimplats is currently undertaking an expansion of the Selous Metallurgical Complex (SMC) in order to make it the preferred PGM processing facility in Zimbabwe. The goals of the project include increasing the current SMC concentrate smelting capacity to reach up to 380,000 tonnes per annum, complying with South African emission standards through the implementation of a new SO2 Abatement plant that will produce sulphuric acid used in local fertilizer production, and refurbishing the Base Metal Refinery (BMR) to treat 35tpd of converter matte. By expanding the facility in accordance with Zimplats 'Outlook', the company will be able to increase its annual ore output to 8.8 Mtpa, while also allowing the treatment of concentrate arising from tailing treatment and third-party concentrate sources. Staged commissioning of different parts of the facility is planned for the near future. Producing high-quality zircon and ilmenite as well as small amounts of rutile and leucoxene.Hatch designed and managed the fabricated and errection of a new Dry Mining Unit (DMU) which weighed 480tons of steel.
