  Aid immigrant and refugee high school students living in Tulsa, OK in their academic pursuits by helping them with academic work while encouraging them to pursue their personal goals. This includes helping students with their college applications, scholarships, ACT preparation, managing a classroom, and creating lesson plans. Also prepared students who had recently turned 18 for the Citizenship Test and the Naturalization process.

  Taught classes to children, ages 11 to 18, twice a week for three months, and would help high school students with their summer school and English language skills. Prepared and facilitated games, lessons, crafts, and other activities for 4 Summer Camps, each lasting three days and hosting between 50 to 80 children. Communicated with my managers and co-workers about expectations, deadlines, and conflict resolution. Spent time learning Arabic as well.

  I aided the staff at Morning Star Development in their pursuits to empower the Afghan community in Colorado Springs. I prepared, facilitated, and taught an English Language Camp for Afghan women interested in increasing their English proficiency. I met with an Afghan woman and her two children once each week and tutored the children in their academic studies. I also completed administrative tasks for the Morning Star team using Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheet.
