  This group of independent creative entrepreneurs (illustrators, graphic designers, industrial designers, art-directors) was called "Maurice and Partners"...It was named after the dog.. We shared a working space in the KNSM building, with first class view on the IJ in Amsterdam, after 5 years we moved to the Y-tech building.

  The company provides for books which purpose is to communicate with sick children in hospitals. To give them some distraction and fun in a difficult period in their lives. I was hired to restyle the identity of the publications. I worked with approximatily 10 illustrators and a designer. I worked under the managing director to change the look and feel of the books.

  Mission and vision of GasTerra, artwork for conference room 5.00 m x 3.00 m

  GasTerra asked me to design an artwork for the conference room of the new building. One of their core values is sustainability. In addition, the company wants to encourage cohesion on several levels. In my concept I connected the values of the company with the personal values of the workfloor, by asking the employees what provides them energy. The answers to these questions I combined with the mission and vision reflected in a colorful big "Narrative Panorama"​. And so the motives of the employees are a part of the vision of the company.   As a visual designer and cultural entrepreneur at Het Paleis Groningen, I work with others on the board (COB10) to improve communication and profiling. We provide for artisits studio's, appartements, a hotel with 9 rooms, several conference rooms, a restaurant and a sunny square. Our goal is to keep Het Paleis in Groningen a lively place for living, working, meeting, eating and sleeping.

  I am lecturer Visual Design Thinking and in addition to teaching I like to develop design based education using creative methods like- Creative Problem Solving,- Foursight,- Torrence Incubation Model, - Accelerated Learning methods- Visual Thinking for Learningwhich I aquired during my master's study in Buffalo (Creative Studies, SUNY 2015-2017). My contribution lies in the field of applying creative methods to activate students in co-creation, visual communication and Design Thinking. Show less

  Organisation International Creative Design Challenge (ICDC)

  One of the founders and part of the organising team of the ICDChallenge. It is a five day contest (or Battle of the Schools) between international universities and undergraduate students from the creative industry (media and games) to design a promising creative concept for a ‘mystery’ client in Europe.
