  Project Synopsis: The main objective of the project was to quantify the amount of protein released from electrospun polymer fibers and to study their structural integrity. Comparing the release of proteins from coaxial electrospun fibers and protein polymer blend electrospun fibers was carried out in this study. The fibers were subjected to time line incubation to study the release of proteins at regular intervals of time. The protein concentration was estimated using Bradford’s and Lowry’s protein assay. The structural integrity of the proteins was inferred from SDS-PAGE gels. Show less
