  Steven served as assistant to the Communications Director by compiling daily news clips, communicating with press in advance of media events, managing website, copy writing, researching and compiling of background information for press materials, and updating press lists. Steven also assisted legislative staff in tracking policies related to small business, healthcare, foreign relations, and veterans affairs, and compiling demographic data on district. Steven had the privilege of coordinating and guiding tours of the U.S. Capitol for several foreign and domestic military officials and legislators, constituents, and representatives from youth organizations. While serving in this role, Steven processed and responded to high levels of proposed legislation and constituent mail and attended policy briefings held by the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Agriculture Committee and informed the Congressman of pertinent information relevant to his constituency.
