Leveraging over 50 years of data, we evaluated competition, complementarity, and policy impacts, providing actionable recommendations to foster a sustainable food ecosystem.Key Contributions:-Data Analysis: Extracted, cleaned, and prepared business licensing, labour force, and population data from reliable sources like Statistics Canada and the City of Toronto using Python and Excel.-Database Management: Consolidated historical data into a structured database combining metrics like active food trucks, restaurant counts, population, and unemployment rates.-Modeling Techniques: Applied time series models, including Pooled Ordinary Least Squares (POLS), ARIMA, and Arellano-Bond estimations, to assess competitive and complementary relationships between food trucks and restaurants.-Insights & Visualization: Developed dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to communicate trends and findings effectively.-Reporting: Delivered a comprehensive report with policy recommendations, emphasizing collaboration between food trucks and restaurants, innovation in food services, and support for entrepreneurial growth.Business Analysis Contributions:-Gathered and documented client requirements to align project objectives with business goals.-Facilitated regular status updates and ensured seamless communication between stakeholders and the team.-Recommended strategies to address industry challenges, informed by data-driven insights.
