Business Case justified and led the implementation of a Sales Commission and Performance Management System through the full SDLC for IBM internally as a consultant. Introduced interactive Data and Process Modeling using Knowledgeware projected on a screen in JAD sessions. Had Executive interviews with District and Area Sales management to assist in business case justification. Led discussions with Strategic priorities of IBM as communicated by its Chairman.

Detailed Business Data and Process Modeling of the Industry Filing Preparation and Distribution of product documentation and the automated distribution and state(s) review and approval of products for their state. Included Imaging and OCR technologies, external/internal email and communications control, automated products/documentation differences recognition, knowledge base of rules and product standards by state, Workflow Management, and Executive Monitoring and Metrics reporting. As an Independent, contracts were typically for shorter durations while consulting companies recruited their own full time staff for these positions. Often though, I was requested to stay on assignments and continue assistance for longer timeframes. Engagements were as short as 3 months or as long as 3 years. I purposely developed multiple skills specializations to enhance quick placement in new clients as contracts ended. I had multiple engagements in Program and Project Management, Quality Assurance Testing Management Best Practices, Datawarehouse, Datamart and ETL Architecture and Design, ERP and CRM Implementation Strategies, Data Migration, Change Management Best Practices, and others. Mike mentored various application and data teams on Project Management, SDLC methodology (EDP, PACE, RUP), and CMM “Best Practices”. Developed an Overall Integrated Implementation Workplan with Operational Support Plans. Mike maintained Issues Management, Change Management, Communications Plans, Problems Management, Work orders, Responsibility/Authority Matrix, etc. data in Microsoft Access databases. Results – Successfully Implemented WLNP Enterprise Project through three major Releases and numerous coordinated minor software implementations over a period of 3 years. Show less

Implemented Best Practices in Performance Test Standards and Procedures leveraging Quality Center Suite. Placed Loadrunner servers in 13 locations throughout the U.S. and Asia. Simulated a peak of 2000+ online users active in Asia while U.S. batch jobs were executed in the local data center. Found issues and the need for numerous configuration changes for both SAP servers and DataStage servers. SAP requested approval to do a white paper on the effort and excellent results. Show less

Project was a new technology infrastructure and ATG ecommerce software implementation to support USPS eCommerce website rewrite. Liaison to Developers and ensured Requirements were Testable and Traceable to Test Plans. HP contract came into question upon continued losses by the Postal Service causing Project staff reductions.
