I completed instructor training within NETC and obtained my Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification and underwent rigorous and recurring training to enhance my instructional abilities. As an instructor for "A" school courses, my primary responsibility was to facilitate student learning. Regardless of the course material, my efforts were focused on equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their specific job roles as incoming Operation Specialists (OS) and/or (QM) Quarter Masters or acquire particular competencies. An important aspect of this training involves providing students with clear and precise guidance, as well as demonstrating the most effective methods for performing tasks related to their respective positions. The Navy Training System is a highly intricate framework that encompasses various stages, including training preparation, delivery, and evaluation. I adjusted and adapted my teaching style to simplify the learning process for students who come from diverse backgrounds and possess varying levels of experience. Effectively conveyed the knowledge and skills required to transform students into proficient and productive members of the operating forces. Show less Ship: USS ChiefAs an expert in shipboard warfare operations and navigation, I provided invaluable advice and guidance to ensure the success of strategic plotting in warfare areas, weapons control, and navigation. My responsibilities included the maintenance and management of the Combat Information Center (CIC) and Combat Direction Center (CDC) displays, which were vital for effective decision-making. I possess a wide range of skills in operating surveillance radars, identification equipment, communications equipment, and other Command and Control (C2) systems. Ability to interpret and evaluate radar presentations and tactical situations. Provided well-informed recommendations to senior leadership. I consistently followed established procedures and doctrine outlined in Joint/Allied/U.S. Navy publications and instructions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of CIC/CDC. In addition to my role in CIC/CDC, I played a crucial part in displaying and disseminating tactical information during various operations such as Surface Warfare (SUW), Mine Warfare (MIW), and Search and Rescue (SAR) operations. To further enhance my capabilities, I completed the Search and Rescue (SAR) School in December 2006 in Jacksonville, Florida. This training equipped me with the necessary skills to serve as one of the ship's SAR swimmers. In the event of an emergency, I would be ready to utilize my expertise on other ship decks to conduct SAR operations. Ensured the safety and well-being of personnel and was prepared to respond swiftly and effectively in critical situations. Show less
