Most of my time was spent helping with the manufacturing of products but I assisted co-workers with servicing machines, some bookkeeping, email marketing, and other odd-jobs. During my time with the company I designed two company logos for new start-up companies that the president currently owns.

  Afternoon Care / Substitute Teacher

  I came to Appletree looking for a full-time position over the summer. I worked as part of the afternoon care staff and later as a summer camp counselor. I was responsible for ensuring the safety of all the children (ages 3-11) under my supervision and to make sure that the kids were engaged in stimulating and entertaining play. When needed, I would assume the role of a substitute teacher and was responsible for following the lesson plans and help the children with their work.

  Transferring to the company’s technology team I am furthering my involvement in the Business Intelligence reporting platform and its management. I’ve been the lead on training our 10 business-side “power-users” and have designed, created and manage their support resources. In recent months I have been overseeing many projects aimed to formally establish an end-user feedback loop in efforts to facilitate a policy of continuous improvement. I continue to serve and assist with high-sensitivity content creation requests and am working to expand my knowledge of database concepts and programming/querying languages in efforts to become more literate in the field of computer science. Show less After finishing many source-data validation projects, my role shifted to creating enterprise-wide reports detailing YTD, MTD, WTD and daily KPIs. My automation of these reports relieved teams of people from crunching these metrics manually, not only mitigating risks to data integrity, but also allowing for more efficient staffing in those areas. These reports, along with live push notifications directly to end-users and stakeholders regarding important events are changing the way many positions operate as well as expanding reporting and data interpretation capabilities. Show less As a Seller Community Specialist, I helped to ensure internal records of which vendors could participate on restrictive buys matched that of Federal contract listings. This process used to be carried out quarterly, however I managed to bring the process down to a weekly one hour task. By carrying this out more frequently and in a macro-based way, we were able to mitigate hours of case by case manual additions and removals. At that point I shifted more towards special reporting for many members of senior management. I also explored new levels of reporting such as performance analysis by product/service key-word and light geographic search/data analysis. Show less
