Commercial, Treasury Management and Private Banking roles

My tenure in the financial services industry began in Treasury Management where I started as a small business cash management analyst eventually rising to calling on Fortune 1000 companies nationally while Sales Manager of a Team of Treasury Consultants. I developed customized proposals and implemented solutions for large multinational businesses. In 1987 I was selected for the Bank of New England Commercial Lending Program where I analyzed credit renewals and new loan requests from a wide range of bank clients. Upon graduation from The Commercial Lending Program I became a Commercial Loan Officer and later a Commercial Loan Workout Officer where I focused on the recovery and successful re-structuring of defaulted or criticized loan obligations over $5MM. During my role in Commercial Loan Workout I worked extensively with attorneys and law firms which led to being named the head of The Professional Practices Group in Fleet Private Banking. I was responsible for the banking relationships of the major Hartford law firms and personal relationships and services for their key partners. This involved traditional commercial credit solutions as well as private banking loans. Show less

As a Relationship Manager, I oversaw specialists including trust and investment management professionals needed to provide high level customized services for wealthy individuals. During this time I developed a Center of Influence management tool for multiple business lines. • Morgan Stanley

      Jul 2012 - Jun 2018
      Vice President, Financial Advisor

I provided independent retirement plan consulting which includes benchmarking and analysis to help identify optimal retirement plan solutions using a strong array of tools and capabilities. Benchmarking is key to establish reasonableness of fees/costs. After extensive discussion with the Plan Sponsor(s), the optimal plan platform was identified from a wide range of well known, best in class non-proprietary service providers and a transition timeline and strategy is established. I co-facilitated each retirement plan participant education and enrollment meeting. Where appropriate improvements existing record keeping platforms were implemented. At times this included enhancing the investment menu, share class optimization, participant education, financial wellness and fiduciary fulfillment strategies for plan sponsors. For individual clients and their families I provide a full complement of fee-based wealth management, financial planning and investment advisory services. As a PM Portfolio Manager I manage and deliver several discretionary tactical investment portfolios. My focus is on directly connecting my recommendations to the client's financial objectives which are periodically reaffirmed. I combine my extensive experience with the vast resources of one of the world's most prestigious and well respected wealth management firms. Show less
