  I was enrolled in Sasol's esteemed Graduate Development Program, where I have been fortunate to gain immersive experience across diverse facets of mechanical engineering. This comprehensive program has afforded me hands-on exposure to critical business operations spanning fabrication, turbo-machinery, reliability, and technical support. Additionally, I have had the privilege of delving into complementary areas such as inspection, metallurgy, and production.During my stint as a Reliability Engineer within the organization, I applied my proficiency in software development to contribute to the enhancement of a pump monitoring system. This initiative aimed at optimizing resource utilization within the business and plant operations, thereby improving efficiency and bolstering Sasol's ongoing prosperity.Subsequently, I assumed the position of lead mechanical engineer, spearheading a capital project and navigating it through the rigorous phases of feasibility and basic engineering. In this capacity, I also oversaw the activities of external contractors, ensuring adherence to factory requirements and industry standards.My journey further led me to engage in mechanical vessel and piping design, where I adeptly implemented a spectrum of both company-specific and internationally recognized codes and standards, including ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, ASME B16.9, among others. During this period I was also introduced to the ANSYS simulation program, which I used to analyze stresses on a pipeline due to its weight, the fluid transported, and external supports.
