  I have been training dogs in one way or another since I was eight years old. I really love what I do and take it very seriously. The core of my mission statement is: First Do No Harm. Over the years I have done traditional training with choke collars and stern commands (before I knew any better). I have done lure and reward based training. After much research and education I now use the entire behavior spectrum to modify behavior. I focus on positive reinforcement clicker based training but also employ definite consequences for undesirable and/or dangerous behaviors.I am certified through the Animal Behavior College. I have certificates through both a Clicker Training Expo and a John Rogers Aggression Seminar. Most recently I am being mentored by Gary Wilkes, the creator of clicker training. With the depth of his understanding of behavior I have learned more from him than all those who taught me before put together. I can help you with basic obedience training and a broad range of behavior problems such as; housebreaking, biting, jumping up and various aggression issues.   Our mission is to provide our special needs children and their families with the skills, tools and knowledge they need to reach their full potential and make the world around them easier to understand. Utilizing both group classes and in home settings we will teach social skills to our children and give our families additional behavior modification tools through learning to train the family dog in the format of a positive reinforcement based dog training course. We will provide our children with the skills they need to improve their understanding of social norms both at home and in public situations. Show less
