  In this role, I am leading a team of five managers. Together we developed a new plug-in model architecture in Aria Automation which enables provisioning and management of wide variety of public cloud resources.My key responsibilities include:* Collaboration with stakeholders (directors, VP, and product management) to ensure that teams are executing the project on track and deliver functions necessary to meet the organizational strategic needs.* Coordinating the feature development progress and risk mitigations.* Facilitating the team to adheres to development schedules and deadlines.* Providing visibility on progress.* Coaching and mentoring a team of managers and engineers* Continuous improvement of internal processes and practices to ensure predictable execution, high quality and innovationIn parallel with research and development, I am leading one of five key objectives for the Cloud Management Business Unit named “Automation Identity”. As part of this OKR, I collaborate with fifteen exceptional geo leaders to create new opportunities for teams across US, EMEA and Asia Pacific (350+ employees), retain high performance and encourage better awareness of our strengths and values as a global team. A cornerstone of the Automation Identity OKR is the Patent Initiative which helps the global team to recognize innovation and claim ownership of the ideas through patents. Show less During this role I built a team of 15 engineers and a professional environment with strong sense of accountability, ownership and quality.Biggest achievements include:* Delivering core components of the vRealize Cloud Automation product - this is the SaaS offering of vRealize Automation on-prem product which generates $700M revenue. Features and components include cloud resources provisioning, allocation, public cloud adapters, IPAM, event broker service, telemetry, IaaS API.* Zero customer escalations, smallest escaped defects discovered in production - 4 functional defects during the period of 2018 – 2020 and less than 10% team capacity dedicated to maintenance.* Working with key global enterprise customers such as DHL, Deutsche Bank, Pfizer, JPMorgan Chase, Atos, WIPRO to understand their business needs and to build a roadmap that serves these needs. Roadmaps are prepared in collaboration with the product management team.* Leading a hiring campaign for 6 months and succeeding in hiring 35 top talent professionals across several roles and levels.* Establishing and leading Learn & Grow program for sharing best practice and knowledge. It grew to a platform where more than 100 engineers join weekly and cover various technical and non-technical topics.* Driving a branding campaign which helped Sofia Cloud Management to differentiate by demonstrating strengths and diversity and to engage with top Bulgarian universities.* Standardized best practices to retain and continuously grow top engineering talent through professional development. Show less I have worked on vSphere Replication Management Server introduced with vCenter Site Recovery Manager 5.0. vSphere Replication provides cost-efficient and simple replication for smaller sites and Tier 2 applications.I helped estimating test effort during Phase 1 of the product. I was involved in product design meetings and discussions, created test design documentation, high level and detailed test cases. I was responsible for certification of major pre-FC product milestones. I took part in beta testing and consolidated results from customers’ feedback on beta product functionality. I worked with technical writers to ensure accurate technical documentation and participated shortly in automation of UI and Functional test cases with Silk Test.I took over additional responsibilities during my manager’s absence which included tasks allocation to team members, test result consolidation and reporting. Show less I have worked on vCenter Site Recovery Manager 4.0 – business continuity and disaster recovery solution that helps you plan, test, and execute a scheduled migration or emergency failover of vCenter inventory from one site to another. I had complete ownership of complex certificates management and upgrade of product testing, share ownership of installation and configuration.Execution of test cases required complex setup of test environment – installation of ESX/ESXi and vCenter servers, configuration of SAN access, new build deployment. I took part in compatibility and patch testing. I had a great chance to communicate directly with users about product permissions issue and provided testing for the corresponding hot fix which was successfully released. Show less I have worked on Capacity Planner 2.7 - capacity planning tool that provides integrated analysis, planning, and decision support. Using Capacity Planner, you can assess your capacity planning needs, consider virtualization, and run Consolidation assessments.I had complete ownership of reporting engine testing, server deployment and configuration testing. This involved setup of test environment simulating production environment on clustered DB, build deployment and automated upgrade, maintenance of physical test lab for collection of performance data, design, execution of functional and UI tests, bugs filling and analysis of results.In addition I consolidated daily reporting from teams located in 3 different time zones and worked with technical writers to ensure complete and full technical documentation. After the successful product release I worked on knowledge transition to VMware team outside of Bulgaria that required setup of webex training sessions, demonstration of best test practices, testing workflow, configuration setups.
