      ● Analyzed past and current techniques of LTE resource block management, their features, advantages, and benefits.● Developed a dynamic power control mechanism depending on the wireless channel conditions to optimize the transmission power of a UE (User Equipment). Thereby improving the energy efficiency of the system.● Built a resource-block level MATLAB simulator to test the performance of the power control mechanism.

      ● Assess current 5G and beyond technologies (cooperative NOMA and RIS) and propose solutions to optimize their performance using machine learning or deep learning tools.● Enhance the detection probability of signals in diffusion-based nano-scale communication networks.● Applied probability and random process theory to analyze the nature of a molecular communication channel.● Identified potential synchronization issues for advanced molecular communications-based biomedical systems.● Designed a TDMA-based MAC protocol and a low-complex synchronization protocol for diffusion-based nano-scale networks. The former ensures high channel utilization above 95% with a low packet collision probability of 10^-3, while the latter improves the existing system’s performance by 5 orders of magnitude.● Independently built multiple system-level MATLAB simulators to test and analyze communication protocols. ● Co-led and secured a research grant proposal of $280,000 from the National Research Foundation of Korea.● Actively participating in knowledge transfer and mentoring events to junior-level colleagues.● Publishing reports in top-tier academic journals and presenting minor outcomes in conferences and workshops.● Responsible for planning research and meeting the deadlines of research outcomes.● Tracking the progress of junior-level colleagues to ensure they are on track and achieve their targets.● Team lead of a fully-funded research project.● Organized events for the exchange and dissemination of current trends in wireless communications. Show less ● Applied differential calculus to develop a high-frequency biological oscillator, up to 500 mHz.● Spearheaded a project to analyze past and current trends of biological oscillators, their features, advantages, and benefits.● Led the study of time-stamp-free synchronization techniques to meet the requirements of ultra-low powered nano-scale devices. The existing system’s performance improved by 3+ orders of magnitude.● Developed a delay-aware MAC protocol that yielded a 40% gain in the throughput performance.● Designed a MAC protocol for M2M systems to reduce collisions during channel contention and assisted in optimizing the network allocation vector (NAV) for underwater handshaking-based protocols.● Co-led and secured a research grant proposal of $240,000 from the National Research Foundation of Korea.● Published reports in top-tier academic journals and presented minor outcomes in conferences and workshops.
