  I started out working for the Transportation Engineering Division, in which I developed project scopes and sought Federal/State/Regional grant funding for new transportation improvement projects to address existing issues or problems. I have also worked at the Engineering Services Division, in which I oversaw the review and processing of the Windemere Development-a new 6,000 unit development in the Dougherty Valley area in the City of San Ramon.   Senior Civil Engineer

  I was the Senior Engineer responsible for the traffic/transportation and CIP sections of the City, overseeing operation along all city roadways and public right of way, including the operation and maintenance of 48 city traffic signals. I am also responsible for all vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle safety related issues along the public right of way. I am also the acting City Transportation Planner, responsible for any transportation planning issues in the City.I am the sole grant writer for the City, and I have been responsible for the securing of over $35 million in Federal/State/Regional transportation grant funding to fund numerous City Capital Improvement Projects over the past 13 years. For many of these projects, I also oversee the preliminary engineering, design, environmental review, and construction of various Capital Improvement Projects. Lastly, since many of these projects are Federally funded, I am responsible for taking the projects through the Federal Caltrans review process. I was the City's representative for all regional and county transportation planning bodies, and I am the City's main representative to the Contra Costa Transportation Authority. Show less
