      Lead CIWS technician, Work Center Supervisor, Assistant Leading Petty Officer. Performed maintenance and ensured the operational readiness for the CIWS anit-missle defense system. Learned about electronics, A/C, D/C, radar. I was one of two of the ships micro/minutre repair technicians, the only fiber optic technician. I was also a member of the ships VBSS team. All of this required a “Secret” level security clearance.

Ensured machine efficiency and the ability to meet standards. Scheduled maintenance with production supervisors, ordered parts and consumables. Performed machine set ups, perfomed daily tasks such as scale verification, performed routine maintenance and machine troubleshooting and repair. Answered trouble calls to the machines.
