  Teen Community Emergency Response Team (TEEN CERT) is a National Homeland Security initiative directed at making our schools and communities safer by having educated/trained youth capable of preparing and responding to disasters and emergencies.Mid America TEEN CERT was selected as the No. 1 Emergency Preparedness Training Program and Youth Program in Missouri for the sixth straight year. As of May 2017, Mid America TEEN CERT has been chosen as the No. 1 Emergency Preparedness Training Program and Outstanding Youth Training Program in America for the third straight year. MATC also obtained an Honorable Mention for Outstanding Community Initiatives and PrepareAthon in Action. TEEN CERT is an integral part of Citizen Corps, the grass-roots movement that actively involves everyone in making our communities and our nation safer, stronger, and better prepared.
