London based Account Manager for Wireline Services looking after all clients operating in Oil and Gas on UK land, central and southern North Sea.Responsibilities- Maintaining client relationships in a decentralized market involving a huge variety of services- Ensuring the SLB is viewed as an attractive vendor both financially and technically- Providing a link between our customers and our service delivery team in Aberdeen to ensure that operations are performed flawlessly.Being remote from our operations team gave me a lot of freedom to act autonomously, which I enjoyed. I managed to increase our business in the regions for which I was responsible and also introduced high tech services in a region typically dominated by more commoditized ones. Show less Responsibilities- Planning operations- Coordinating people / equipment to provide required services to our customers- Ensuring all operations performed in a safe manner- Maintaining / improving location revenue and net profit- Training and developing personnel- Maintaining levels of motivation in a tough locationSpecifically, I was in charge of remote operations in Northern Angola, with particular focus on increasing our market share with Chevron (CABGOC). During my assignment, revenue/yr increased tenfold. The increase in market share stretched our resources to the maximum; my activities from day to day were never the same - one day working as logistics manager, the next offshore visiting a job. I also looked after ultra-deepwater operations for BP Angola and Sonangol. Show less Responsibilities- Planning and Coordinating all Wireline & Slickline Operations for Netherlands and Denmark- Training and Developing of Engineers / Technicians in the location- HSE responsibilites for the location- Ensuring location met / exceeded revenue & net profit targets. After having worked in Africa, it was interesting and educational to experience Schlumberger and the Oilfield in a more mature market. In addition to the job responsibilities listed above; maintaining good client relations and establishing a good working rapport with the local (and long serving) staff were key to my success in this assignment. Show less Responsibilities- In charge of all operational and fiscal aspects for remote, single engineer location - Training, developement and management of all local staff assigned to wireline - 4 at the start and 8 at the end.- Performing wireline operations offshore for a variety of clients in South and East Africa- Focal point for the startup of East Africa operations - from which our rig count went from 1 to 5 in a matter of weeks during January 2008.This was a hugely varied and educational assignment. On the one hand I was working with established clients in South Africa and Namibia; with a good working relationship in place my main focus was ensuring good service at the wellsite. On the other hand, I was called on to coordinate the startup of remote operations in Uganda and Tanzania. This involved getting my hands dirty with new clients in countries where there was virtually no established infrastructure. Very exciting and challenging - especially considering that during this period I was still required to perform offshore operations. Show less Responsibilities- Perform wellsite wireline operations safely and efficiently. - Lead engineer for Marathon Offshore exploration - Jungle operations for a variety of clients.- Maintain control of all radioactive sources and explosives during operations (challenging due to the difficult logistics in Gabon)- Train team of assigned operations and junior engineers- Lead loss prevention team; self initiated.- Seismic Cell Leader. My first experience of offshore and jungle operations - two very different and challenging environements.I managed to successfully perform all my jobs during my time in Gabon without any service quality, non productive time or safety incidents. Show less Responsibilities- Perform wellsite operations safely and efficiently, in both open hole and cased hole environments.- Control of R/A sources and explosives- Borehole Seismic Cell Leader- Loss Prevention Team Leader for the location during 2005- Self Training for fixed step promotion schedule.- Open Hole exploration cell leader during 2005.- Stand in for location Field Service Mananger. My first assignment with Schlumberger in this remote land location in Southern Chad, initially learning the ropes and then progressing to leading the location in OH exploration and borehole seismic operations. Expedition Leader & Manager

During my year of personal project leave I organised and led an unguided, unsupported kiteskiing expedition to Greenland. A third party company was not engaged to support the expedition and hence we had to organise everything down to the last detail ourselves.Responsibilities included- Organisation of all logistics and permitting- Organisation and oversight of training, from a training program for all team members to kite-skiing specific training- Leadership and decision making once on the ice.Due to poor weather, we were not able to cover the whole planned distance from Narsaq to Qaanaaq. However, we did manage to cover 1020km and had a great time.see www.polarice10.com Show less
