  Marketing Manager - Sportsfete

  SportsFete is the intra-college sports fest where the 14 departments of NIT Trichy, come together and participate in various sports in a quest to win the overall title. The competition happens over a span of four days during which a rampant crowd of 7000 odd people celebrate the spirit of sports. As a Marketing Manager of this grand fest, I\We converted Glucon-D, Max, Decathlon, Superstar Pizza, Poorvika, Nivia, Chevy Waters as sponsors and brought down various food stalls like Dominoes, Shakos, Meat and Eat, Famous Jigarthanda and a lot of other shops and companies.   Festember is NIT Trichy's 4-decade old annual cultural festival. Having been declared one of the best college cultural festivals in India, we have been sponsored by Adobe, OnePlus, Coca-Cola, and the like, and have a turnout of more than 15,000 students from all across India and beyond. Carpe Diem, the Guest Lecture series of Festember, is an initiative that hopes to bring down some of the most inspiring, talented and accomplished individuals from around the world, to get to know them on a personal level and draw motivation and encouragement from their journey to success. Our Guest Lecture series has been graced by eminent personalities, such as Jonty Rhodes (acclaimed former South African cricketer), Nithya Menen (popular actress), Ashwin Sanghi (renowned author) and so forth.As part of Festember Guest Lectures, my primary duties involve:- Looking for personalities who fit within the concept of our series, 'Stories that inspire', and looking for methods to contact them- Contacting, inviting, conversing with eminent personalities from various fields and their managers- Convincing the personality to attend the fest and deliver a Guest Lecture at our institution despite their extremely busy schedule and the fact that our Guest Lecture Series is non-ticketed and entirely free of cost (the speaker isn't provided with an honorarium)- Preparing the entire itinerary for the speaker, booking airfare, accommodation and ensuring that every need of the speaker is met during their stay in the city- Managing a set of juniors in performing the same tasks, and ensuring that they do not commit any mistakes and communication with clients is done in as professional and convincing a manner as possible Show less
