      Business Immigration Paralegal

      As a Business Immigration Paralegal, I was responsible for assisting attorneys and our clients with all aspects of the business immigration process. To date, I prepared and filed 800+ cases, and regularly managed a caseload of at least 50 or more cases. Specifically, my responsibilities included:- Preparing and submitting immigration filings (both immigrant and nonimmigrant) with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor, including H-1B, B-1, L-1, TN, E-3, I-140, I-485 Adjustment of Status, EAD/AP (I-765/I-131), STEM EAD and petition withdrawals. - Constant communication via email and phone with client contacts, managers, and foreign nationals regarding progress, status updates, questions, and any other concerns with their visa process. I am also responsible for escalating questions regarding travel, visa feasibility, and other urgent issues to attorneys as appropriate.- Keeping track of case progress, drafting forms, sending emails, and updating information for cases and foreign nationals using INSZoom/VisaTrax.- Keeping track of caseload by updating my personal spreadsheet, running weekly reports, and checking in daily/weekly with my assigning attorneys to discuss case progress and any issues.- Attending weekly team meetings and stepping in to assist other paralegals and attorneys with case preparation/reassignment as needed.- Assisting attorneys with special projects as needed.- Complete final reviews as a member of the Package Review Team, ensuring all petitions going out met firm and filing standards.
