  Lead Production Technician

  Lead Operator on the T8 Plant on Wilton Site, Teesside. The process consisted of the Oxidation of Paraxylene using Oxygen enriched air in the presence of a liquid catalyst a mixture of Cobalt, Manganese, and Bromide in a Reactor to form Crude Terephthalic Acid. This was then Purified in a Hydrogenation Reactor of Palladium to form Pure Terephthalic Acid. The plant was a top tier COMAH plant with a big emphasis on the identification and mitigation of Major Accident Hazards.As the Lead Production Technician my duties where but not limited toControl Room Operator on an ABB DCS system.Incident Controller for Major Accidents and Emergency scenarios.Taking a lead role in the training of operators and apprentices.Issuing Work Control Permits.Acting as an Area Authority during shutdowns and turnarounds.Level 1 Authorised Gas Tester for Hot Work and Confined Space Entries.Designing, applying and proving isolationsAssisting the Shift Supervisor in management of the shift team.   Working as Senior Production Technician, act as focal point and provide operational expertise to the Operations Teams across all areas of the Cormorant Alpha platform. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of DCS processes, platform and equipment, in order to achieve daily production targets within licence to operate consent limits.

  Working as Production Technician on the Cygnus Project. Involved in the Pre-Commissioning, Hook-up, Commissioning of First Gas, and Operations on the Cygnus Alpha and Bravo Platforms.Role:Initially the Operations Technicians will be part of the Pre Ops Team based in Hartlepool and /or Methil within Construction Sites until handover of the Installation at which point the role reverts to a conventional Offshore Technician.. Responsibilities:Assist in the provision of appropriate commissioning documentation and procedures for system and packages.Develop Maintenance & Operations Procedures.Develop suitable and sufficient Operating Manuals.Assist with development of the Verification Scheme & Safety Case.Assist with Development of Training Requirements, (OEM, Basic Systems & Mandatory).Assist/Support commissioning team in the commissioning of Facility process equipment. Project Support & Quality Assurance. Assist in the verification of valve positions, orientation and access during installation of same.Confirm and verify as-built (piping, valves, process) to P&ID drawings.Offshore Operations:Reporting to Lead Operations Technician or Operations Supervisor operate plant and utilities safely and efficiently with minimal environmental impact.Ensure optimisation and efficiency of systems in order to meet production targets taking into account maintenance and inspection requirements.Plan and control activities whilst on shift to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.Perform and direct safe isolation of wells in preparation for and receipt from handover for intervention crew activities and reinstatement.Assist with the planning, preparation and coordination of shutdown programmes.Deputise as Lead Operations Tech or Operations Supervisor as required.Create appropriate Isolations Lists and drawings as required, in conjunction with the Operations Supervisor and the Lead Operations Technicians.Required to carry out Control Room Operator duties as required.
