  CFA Institute Research Challenge

  I was member of a five-students team representing the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. As winners at the local level of the CFA Institute Research Challenge our team represented Romania at the regional and global competition held in Chicago, USA. The aim of our project was to realize an equity research report and presentation on an important player in the Romanian dairy market. We concentrated our report on fundamental features and information as:- Business description and Corporate Governance;- Industry overview and competitive positioning;- Financial analysis; - Valuation using both DCF model and market-based valuation, reinforced by Monte Carlo simulation;- Investment risk assessment.Based on our business, industry and financial review we made an investment recommendation.
