  I am a full time artist - balancing my work between commissioned pieces, art product development for souvenirs in the tourism market, logo and web design, and small business coaching / social media content creator.I spend a lot of time volunteering for non-profit organizations - Friends Of Yoho (Board of Directors), Golden Nordic Ski Club (Ski coach) and most recently, I have joined the board Kicking Horse Chamber of Commerce (BOD secretary).I enjoy making a difference within the town of Golden and the broader region as I have lived in the East Kootenay for almost 30 years.   I educated the Town of Golden on wildlife conflict (WC) reduction methods, wrote a planning document for reducing WC over the long term, introduced the beginning of Bear Smart Certification standards, assisted in education of school children and locals to be safe around wildlife and helped the residents negotiate buying locking bear-resistant bins to reduce waste issues throughout the town. WildSafeBC is an educational program that assists communities across British Columbia and in the Town of Golden to reduce conflicts with wildlife. Through a number of public engagement strategies, the position is highly rewarding, working with people of every age, walk of life, offering solutions to human-wildlife conflict in both the front country and backcountry.

  I handle all bookings for ski and school related programs, including our Youth Program. I teach skate and classic skiing, mentor staff and coaches, schedule lessons and programs for our club and for the community of skiers - both locals and visitors. I create programs, network and market our programs to our community, include working with families and volunteer coaches for professional and skier development.
