  1996 - 1999: Maxon Communications, a company who manufacture and repaired ETACS and GSM mobile telephones. My job roles have been to repair ETACS and GSM mobile telephonesdown to component level and test and align to specification. Maintaining of PC’s and VME rack systems, installing and setting up of GSM debugging software.I was then promoted to GSM Service Supervisor, responsible for the smooth running of the department at all times and supervise Technicians within the department. I repaired and tested Maxon cellular products, conducted internal training courses, liaised with service administration regarding turnaround time, workload etc. I have been responsible for QA, providing Korea with monthly reports. Liaised with all necessary Maxon companies and department regarding technical issues, updates, new technology and training. Monitored workflow and implemented changes where necessary.   a Taiwanese telecommunications company who manufacture cordless DECT phones, and GSM mobile phones. I worked as a Q.A / After Sales Service Co-ordinator. I was responsible for quality assurance issues with the GSM mobile phones and DECT phones; this included checking handset MMI, static testing and compiling reports on any issues and feeding this back to the Q.A department in Taipei.My role as After Sales Service Co-ordinator, involved setting up repair centres in Europe to handle level 1, 2 and 2.5, and compiling spare parts lists for the repair centres. I provided the training to the engineers on the DBTEL GSM products. I have also helped setup the fault reporting and tracking of hospital stock, feeding back repair information from the service centres to the QA department in China. Show less

  2004 - 2005 Primus Telecommunications, based in London, who provide specialised GSM handsets, which allow you to make international calls through their fixed line network infrastructure. I was a Technical Support Engineer testing new handset software, and producing reports which were fed back to the R&D department in China. I trained engineers on how to repair the company's product range. I also repaired GSM handsets down to component level.

  Based at Gatwick airport, I was employed as a communications engineer. I carry out downloading of statistics from all our trunk radio systems in the UK. Repair hand portable and mobile PMR and trunk radios. Repair RF channels on various trunk radio systems. Installation of trunk radio MPT systems and ground to air systems. Preventative maintenance on trunk systems and repeaters. Installation of PMR/Trunk radios into Buses, push back tugs and commercial vehicles. Installation of tracker vehicle modules into vehicles. Fault finding on vehicles with radio equipment installed. Processing parts orders, sending units under warranty back to the manufacture for repair. Carry out estimates for repairs on customers units. Ordering spare parts. Assisting with our cellular faulty reporting help desk, speaking to customers who have faulty handsets. Arranged customer handset recoveries. Deputize my service supervisor when he is on leave. After being made redundant from Primus Telecommunications in December 2005, I have been carrying out some self employed work, repairing TVs, videos, DVDs, satellites and computers. Show less

  based in Horley Surrey. I am employed as a Product Support Engineer. My role involves testing to spec specialised communications equipment used within the defence industry. Repairing units down to module level and then final test. Populating PCB boards used in evaluation and final product. These boards use SMD components and are hand soldered. Going out to site to complete setup of systems within the UK and Europe. Going to customer’s sites and presenting product training courses. Supporting the IT administrator at our office in Horley, this includes Active directory, networking issues, backup of data.
