  I edited the school newspaper The Redcliffe Report, as well as writing editorials, and comment on politics and culture. The role also required communication with senior leadership and the organising of talks from people in the industry.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief and head of the Opinion Section As one of the comment editors at Oxford's oldest student newspaper, I have edited a vast range of pieces on current affairs, culture, and student life, working to ensure high technical accuracy, style, and clarity for readers. Working on the fortnightly print edition enabled me to become proficient in WordPress and InDesign, perfecting presentational skills.

  Responsible for putting together a packed term card of a range of different events, communicating with internationally-renowned philosophers and managing a team of events officers. I was one of a small team of editors managing the student-produced philosophy society journal, overseeing the publication of the third issue this year, which features papers of the highest quality on a range of philosophical issues.

  I spent a week researching risk and uncertainty, and ways of creating strategies for dealing with them. I drew on a range of fields, particularly behavioural economics, complexity theory, and philosophy, to create insights on decision-making strategies that are robust, anti-fragile, and adaptable.
