      Vroon Offshore Services Ltd is a leading supplier of medical support vessels, with over 50 vessels operating primarily from Aberdeen. I was responsible for purchasing consumables for 11 - 17 vessels. Responsibilities included:- Procuring everything a vessel might need on a month-to-month basis, from food and everyday grocery items, safety equipment and medical supplies, to electrical items, engine spares and industrial products, as well as fuel oil and chemicals. As such, I am familiar with a wide range of products. Arranging periodical maintenance and inspection of safety equipment.- Expediting goods from a warehouse to each vessel, including to overseas ports- Controlling, recording and reporting on monthly & yearly budgets. Typically, I was responsible for a spend of £240,000 per vessel, per year.- Personally finding cost savings for the fleet by 15% over the last two years, by eliminating unnecessary spend.- Sourcing alternative vendors, in order to maintain the highest standard of service and lower costs.- Negotiating discounts with suppliers- Regularly auditing suppliers, on order to ensure a high level of service.
