      Director of the Secretariat for the Chevening scholarship programme - the UK government's flagship international scholarship programme for outstanding future leaders that supports 1,500 scholars to study in the UK each year.Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the scholarship management cycle are carried out - from promotion and selection through to scholarship placement and engagement and alumni management.Responsible delivery of contract and meeting KPIs to the clients - the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and to the Marshall Aid Commemoration Committee.Leadership of Secretariat team of over 40 direct reports, and cross-functional leadership with professional services within British Council (IT, Finance, HR, Comms and External Relations). Lead on strategy and efficient service delivery.Stakeholder engagement and close collaboration with FCDO, and with higher education institutions and other partners.
