      Coach Development Officer

While undertaking this role it was my responsibility to manage and increase the number of qualified Volleyball coaches and trying to expand their knowledge and professional qualifications. With Volleyball being a minority sport this was a challenge. I established links with Colleges offering Sports courses, including Deeside College in North Wales, and tutored Mini Volley coaching courses to the students. Working with the local Sport Development Department they then proceeded to coach in the local primary schools. This was repeated with some success around the Cardiff area, where most of the recreational Volleyball in Wales is played. Show less
