  Over the years as a swimming instructor I have worked with children ranging from just months to older teenagers and adults. Learning the most important aspects of swimming to emphasize for each age group has taught me the importance of modification of curriculum for individuals with different learning needs. Throughout my time as an instructor I have inspired passion for swimming skill development and promoted water safety.

  Working at aquatics facilities has taught me the significance of personal and group responsibility in high stress scenarios. I have been employed as both a shift supervisor and standard lifeguard and understand the importance of clear communication and expectations in work environment. At this job I have utilized First Aid, customer service skills, monetary transactions, and facility maintenance skills. Ordering, mixing, and monitoring chemicals within the pool has added to my understanding of how the recreation industry operates. Show less
