      As a CSR for Penske Truck Leasing my responsibilities include cleaning and fueling trucks for customer and lease use while also maintaining the shop. I also do light repairs on trucks, trailers when the shop is busy.

      As Applications Engineering Manager I am responsible for leading a team of Applications and Product Engineers responsible for the design and development of piston rings for Hastings customers. My responsibilities are (but not limited to) the following:- Oversee projects of direct reports and help remove any roadblocks- Provide resources for individual team members to be successful- Conduct evaluations of direct reports and determine development goals for continued growth- Manage global projects in conjunction with engineering team at location overseas- Meet budgetary goals for department- Lead development and launch of future technology- Design piston ring packs based on applicable Hastings & industry standards as well as customer input and objectives- Conduct cost studies and provide quotes for customer RFQ's- Prepare test requests, evaluate test results, and publish final test reports- Manage activities of engine test lab facility- Initiate ring prototype sample orders and track development- Evaluate returned product for failure analysis and warranty claims- Perform power cylinder simulations (AVL Excite) to determine output characteristics of different ring pack designs- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure manufacturability of designs- Work closely with Sales to develop specific customer account strategies- Interface with customers by means of tradeshows, customer visits, etc.- Perform detailed customer presentations- Support Vice President of Engineering in the transfer of research and development activities into marketable projects- Lead and participate in APQP, NPI (New Product Introduction), and ECN (Engineering Change Notice) processes- Practice the philosophy of QECI (Quality Excellence and Continuous Improvement)- Use TS-16949 process in everyday activities and implement quality system requirements- Conform to procedures consistent with the ISO Standards- Manage 8 sales accounts focused on high performance markets Show less As an Applications Engineer I am responsible for the design and development of piston rings for Hastings customers.
