      M.Sc. Translational Oncology Oncology and Cancer Biology

      In November 2019 I was awarded my M.Sc in Translational Oncology with Trinity College Dublin. I received a First Class Honours for my research project entitled "Characterisation of Circulating Tumour Cells (CTC) and their immune evasion strategies" which I carried out with the Molecular Pathology Research Lab in the Coombe WIUH.

      Activities and Societies: Trinity Basketball Club I graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a First Class Honours degree in Science, specialised in Zoology. My final year dissertation was carried out on the invertebrate population of Dublin Zoo. I worked closely with Dublin Zoo for my four months of field work, where I used pitfall traps to sample the population. My dissertation on this topic was awarded the William C. Campbell Undergraduate Research Prize.

      In September 2019 I started my PhD in the Department of Surgery, Trinity St. James' Cancer Institute under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Maher and Prof. Barbara Ryan. My research thesis, entitled "Integrative multi-omic analytics for the early detection of pancreatic cancer", explored novel biomarkers for the early detection of patients at an increased risk of developing pancreatic cancer, while also investigating the role of pancreatic cyst fluid in the development of pancreatic… Show more In September 2019 I started my PhD in the Department of Surgery, Trinity St. James' Cancer Institute under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Maher and Prof. Barbara Ryan.
