  In November 2008 post Barcap's acquisition of Lehmans I was asked to create a test team to effectively replicate a Lehman Equities team which was lost to Nomura.I built the team, and managed 50+ Testers and Test Managers across Equity Liquid Markets and Equity Derivatives. The team sits within the Global Test Centre (GTC).We tested large scale projects such as the Cash Equities trading platform rollouts in Tokyo and Hong Kong, and the Equity Derivatives strategic platform Atlas. We also tested BAU software releases for Equities IT in the US, the UK and APAC.I was the People lead for the GTC, responsible for Role and Responsibility definition, Appraisal Objectives definition, running the Test Management Mentoring programme and facilitating Internal Mobility.In September 2012 I became the Singapore GTC Head, supporting the other GTC Singapore based teams e.g. FICC, Wealth etc and representing the GTC to other Singapore functions e.g. APAC Technology COO and HR. Show less In June 2006 I relocated with Barcap to Singapore to help setup a Strategic Test Centre within Barcap's Global Software Development Centre (GSDC).Working with the GSDC Director and Quality team I wrote the Testing process to be followed by the Test teams which we started hiring into Singapore.I then managed some of the Test teams eg Commodities, Sales IT and Fixed Income.In July 2008 I took a 4 month sabbatical. I spent 3 months in New Zealand touring the North and South Island, during which time I qualified as a snowboard instructor. I also spent 3 weeks in India.   In early 2016 there were re-organisations within Credit Suisse: APAC became a business division and the global testing horizontal was disbanded. I was asked by the head of APAC PB IT to lead a new function of APAC PB IT Testing and Quality. My first act in this role was to determine what principles would guide Testing and Quality for APAC PB IT; then to understand what objectives the head of APAC PB IT wanted from the function; and then to determine how to achieve these objectives.In December 2016 I took an additional responsibility from a departing colleague which was Release and Test Environment Management for APAC PB IT.In Sept 2017 I took an additional role: a 6 month secondment into APAC PB Production Management with a remit to strategically transform the function. Show less I joined Credit Suisse in July 2014 to help build from scratch a Digital Private Bank (DPB).DPB is an online presence, giving our clients a simple, personal and secure view on their financial positions; providing access to a wealth of market insights; allowing direct collaboration with their relationship manager; and letting them trade financial products.As DPB Product Test Lead I was responsible to create then execute the test strategy for DPB. This meant providing the thought leadership as to how we should test, and then constantly collaborating and prioritising with the IT and business squads to determine what are we trying to release and when, and what's stopping us from verifying a release is good. I also ran UAT, first explaining to the business process leads how UAT would run and what was required of them, then coordinating the UAT schedule and execution, and reporting progress to a wide audience.   Sabbatical

  After 24 years of working in Investment Banking and Private Banking IT in London, New York and Singapore, I decided a break was in order to pause, reflect and have the energy and time to learn new things. So I relocated with my family to my wife's beautiful home country of New Zealand.
