Weird little known quirky detail from my past. I lived down in Asheville, NC for a number of years, working as an audio production engineer for a great little company that provided voiceovers for radio and TV commercials (I was a radio DJ during this period as well). Procomm had a family vibe to it, the owner really made an effort to take care of his staff (he personally paid for my Cobra Insurance for a number of months after I departed the company). I mention all this because my experience there made such a difference in my life today here at Mytech. We work to have a similar vibe here, a take-care-of-each-other (this includes our clients) way of doing things. One little side note; this is where the "make a difference" in our Mission Statement comes from (To Grow, Help, and Make a Difference). I find it gratifying to know that I'm making a difference in our employee and client lives. Show less

      Oct 2000 - now
Director of Customer & Employee Experience

My job is to develop, manage, and deliver a pipeline of Client Experience and Employee Experience initiatives in support of Mytech's business strategy. I am an advocate, a creative problem solver, and a strategic thinker on behalf of both Mytech clients, and also Mytech employees. To do this, I drive multiple process and operations:1. Recruiting: Aggressive oversight of our recruiting efforts... always on the look out for business and IT professional who, like us, live and work at a high standard. We expect much of ourselves... our clients / my colleagues / myself included, all reaching beyond our limits in order to be "A-Players" (think ABC Matrix), and I believe it's important to proactively seek similarly-minded individuals to compliment our team. 2. Engagement: Proactively focus on measuring, and then responding to, feedback and suggestions from our staff and clients. Utilize various programs and tools in tracking data on a weekly and quarterly basis. By analyzing trends, and rethinking new staff recruiting (see above "Recruiting "), and marrying it all to our Culture (see below "Culture"), our objective is to create employee and client loyalty and tenure.3. Culture. We believe culture is the glue that holds all the other stakeholders of our business universe together. Our stakeholders (clients, vendors, staff) of course all have one thing in common... people. People need a flourishing culture to truly hit "A-Player" status, so I've made it a mission of sorts to ensure Mytech's culture is peerless. I oversee the development, delivery and measurement of culture initiatives embedded both internally (staff) and externally. Show less

Make a Difference is about understanding personality type (you're either a Lion, Camel, Monkey, or Turtle), identifying personality in others, and learning how to bridge the communication gap between the two. I worked and trained with the Dr. Larry Little (the author) personally to understand the principals of Make a Difference and today, this program is a significant part of Mytech's culture. Show less
