  As a part of an 6 member team dedicated for developing diagnostic tools, developed software (in C and C++ on Linux) for checking hardware compliance. This Diagnostics software was used by the manufacturing team, to test the manufactured hardware. Software consisted of a set of Device Drivers developed in Linux, Kernel implementations and a suitable user interface, and deployed using PERL package. The profile thus required a complete understanding of networking concepts and the SDH/SONET protocol in particular, apart from the knowledge of the hardware and programming specifics like OS and Device-Drivers. Coordinated the 1st Global Launch of CPS (On 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi) released by Prime Minister and simultaneously unveiled by about 125 Indian Missions and Embassies across the World. Pan India Core System Integration (SAP) Project rollout for Philately across 86 Philatelic Bureaus and 850 Head Post offices in the country resulting in digitization of Supply Chain of Postage Stamps. Ensuring smooth and efficient Public Service delivery across more than 300 Post offices in various business verticals including Mail Operations, Post Office Savings Bank, Postal Life Insurance, G2C services such as Aadhaar, Financial Inclusion etc. Responsible for General administration, Personnel Management (Training, Promotion, Transfer-Posting, Staff/Union Relation and Welfare), Budget Allocation, Revenue Performance, Budget expenditure, Procurement and Material Management, Estates Management including Civil/Electrical Projects, Renovation of Post offices and construction of new post office buildings, Grievance Redressal Mechanism, efficient functioning of Supply Chain and Logistics including Mail Management operations and Delivery performance within SLAs. IT Project implementation including rollout Core Banking Solution (CBS), Core Insurance Solution, Core System Integration (SAP) in 300 Post offices and Micro ATM rollout in all rural Post offices. Show less As Head of Kolkata GPO was responsible for management of one of the largest Business Units of West Bengal Postal Circle with Revenue upwards of Postal/Logistics revenue of more than Rs 100 Crore and more than 2 Lakh Post Office Savings Bank Account Holders. As administrative head of the unit was responsible for Personnel Management of more than 800 employees. Upkeep and maintenance of Kolkata GPO, a Heritage building was also undertaken. First roll out of Core Insurance Solution for Postal Life Insurance in West Bengal Circle was carried out. North Presidency Postal Division was a heavily Unionized Division and suffered from frequent disruptions led by Service Unions. Entered into negotiations with Unions and resolved several long pending grievances.
