      Activities and Societies: Software Hut: Students compete, in teams, to develop the most effective software, following an agile development process in close collaboration with their client. I was part of a winning team as deemed by our client. The prize is awarded once annually in recognition of software development for a real-world client. Women in Engineering Society: Acted as Secretary as part of the society's committee. We won the award for Best Academic Society that year. This course included a Year in Industry which was undertaken at Microsoft.

      Work Experience: I participated in numerous activities alongside the BT (OpenReach) Director of the UK (West) Business and Corporate Delivery. I attended an OpenReach Process Re-design Workshop; shadowed an Operational Manager (looking at the fibre optic network); and spent time at the Coventry Telecommunications Centre.

      Global Engineering Challenge:Working alongside a team of multi-disciplinary engineers, I participated in the Global Engineering Challenge 2019, at the University of Sheffield. The project required that we develop a design for a Smart Greenhouse that would aim to increase yield in Tamil Nadu. Lack of yield is a prevalent issue due to reliance on water from the monsoon season and recent monsoon failure as a result of the local climate.The project required teamwork, communication, creativity, time management and careful consideration of the stakeholders’ needs and constraints. During the design process, we considered sustainability, durability, cost, ethics, maintenance and more. Two presentations were carried out and our team was able to receive two awards. Show less

      Technical Specialist Intern

      In my role as a Technical Specialist Intern in the Retail, Travel and Transport team within Business Application, I worked closely with Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform portfolio. Throughout the year I took part in various projects, events and customer demonstrations. Mostly, I worked to create apps using Power Apps which I demonstrated to customers through Teams. This internship was completed remotely although I had the opportunity to visit the office on a few occasions towards the end of the year. Show less
