My responsibility included the development and maintenance of the project management portion of the Forward Area Air Defense System (FAADS) Automated Data Network System (ADNS). The ADNS supplied hardware, software, and data support to many CONUS sites and two OCONUS sites. Other duties included developing and documenting processes for configuration management, computer operations, database design, interface requirements, software design, and user guides. Later I was given responsibility for the evaluation and selection of programmatic tools for the project management section of Teledyne’s Integrated Contractor Assisted Software Engineering (I-CASE) system. I-CASE provided a controlled environment that consisted of COTS tools, proprietary tools, and database tools to assist programmers in rapid software development. I was responsible for taking the selected tool (ARTEMIS) and developing the project management and tracking section, then integrate it into Teledyne’s I-CASE environment. Computers and software used included; SUN workstations, UNISYS 5000’s, PC’s (both Macintosh and IBM compatibles), X.25 communications equipment and software, UNIX, ARTEMIS, X-Windows, ORACLE, INFORMIX, Microsoft Windows, and MAPPER.       Site Manager for the Program Depot Maintenance Scheduling System (PDMSS) at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (WRALC). PDMSS software provides the scheduling and tracking of all aircraft repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and major components during the entire depot life cycle. The scope of PDMSS included establishing a new computer based software scheduling system, incorporating new production capabilities and processes into the system, phasing out and replacing legacy systems, and integrating the new system with standard Air Force systems. I managed and directed the analysis, evaluation and assessment of the Air Force legacy systems in three aircraft divisions (F15, C130 and C141). From this analysis I supervised a design, development, and implementation of PDMSS for all three aircraft divisions. Other duties were to produce test requirements and perform evaluation and integration testing of PDMSS software.
