  Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh (BSMRMU) came out as the first-ever maritime university of Bangladesh by an Act of the Parliament on 26 October 2013. It's first undergraduate batch was admitted in 2017 (session 2016-17) and after about 2 years it opened it's Debate and Language Club. BSMRMU Language and Debate Club is a joint venture of both language activities such as, extempore speech, public speaking, elocution etc. as well as debate activities. A subtle combination of both activities allows the participants to polish their language skills while making them prone to logic-oriented approaches in real-life situations, which brings us to the motto of the club, “Yielding logic of words to logic of reality.” Public and Media Affairs Secretary has the duty of managing its social media activities, graphic designing, web designing, social networking, data management and assisting other members while organizing any event. As the Public and Media Affairs Secretary of the club along with all other executive members of this club we have successfully organized several workshops, seminars, events and competitions round the year.
