  Electronic Health Record (EHR) Expert. Clinical Liason to Medical / Nursing Staff for software applications in Cerner and EPIC. Streamlining customization. This experience has opened my eyes to challenges in Electronic Medical Record mapping concerning the monitoring of patients in their effort to communicate to their nurses. Safety can be compromised when a patient is unable to get a quick response after pushing a call light. My aim is to collaborate for solutions to ensure the EMR shows when a patient was seen in real time, and what was done. The technology we currently work with is unfortunately so far behind to what we are capable of establishing in hospitals. We can make it much safer! . Show less

  I signed up for a three month contract with KP (Through Advantage Nurse Staffing) to fill this position and feel even more dedicated to my goal of introducing a safer solution to reduce workers back injuries. To experience these one on one conversations with back injured workers (the predominant injury in Occupational Health) in a variety of workplace settings: Construction, Law Enforcement, Commercial Trucking, Bus Drivers, Firefighters, Public Schools, Janitorial, Hospital Employees, Office workers, and Mail Carriers,is truly an eye opener. Ironically, this position was the first offered to me by the Agency I opted to work through. So....here I am, an inventor of a technology going into products that help support the lower back, and suddenly it is all starting to make sense, and come full circle.
