Mar 2006 - Mar 2020Construction of a new metro line in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, with 16km of extension (5km in TBM and 11km in NATM) and 6 (six) new stations.- Design, procurement and operation of the TBM EPB Convertible, with 11,51m of diameter, including the implement of the jobsites and facilities.- Excavation in two distinct types of soils: Rock (up to 230 MPa) and cohesionless Sand with high groundwater level. Including: Hyperbaric interventions, transition zones crossing (Rock / Sand), Submerged Breakthrough and launch of the TBM using a sealing ring.- Plan and execute geotechnical investigations and soil treatments.- Monitor subcontractor's performance according to the contractual and technical parameters.- Coordination of works with clients, third parties and other disciplines of the project, including the review of engineering design and planning.- Review contractual issues, including claims and litigations.- Final inspection of tunnels and commissioning of the electromechanical systems (Energy 22kV, Ventilation, Escalators, Elevators, Pumping Systems).- Safety: Ensure that the safety plan is implemented. Including all safety rules and regulations.- Leader of a qualified team, including different cultures and nationalities.- Tax management during the import of the equipments resulting in a reduction of rates of about 20%.- Responsible for all the logistics and assembly of the equipments (circa 3.000 tons), within one of the largest and populated urban centers in Brazil.
