      Activities and Societies: "HeforShe" United Nations Event "Next Generation Nuclear Power: The Solution to Climate Change?" Featuring Bill Nye Climate and Society 10th Anniversary at the World Trade Plaza I worked with classmates to complete assignments focused on climate change concerns such as sustainability, adaptation, mitigation, public communication, climate science both globally and regionally, and resources and technology. I also worked to understand the intricacies of climate impacts on human populations and what can be done to reduce climate impacts.

      As MCE's Senior Communications Manager I lead MCE's internal and external communications, including public relations, social media, board communications, and industry engagement. I am responsible for having a deep understanding of MCE's work across all departments and serving as a thought leader to build effective communication and engagement strategies to meet agency goals. Responsibilities include: press releases and media engagement, creation and distribution of agency messaging and talking points, internal sharing of MCE successes, creation and distribution of external facing materials including presentations, eNewsletters, social media and blog, and internal reporting. Show less As a Community Development Manager on MCE’s Public Affairs team I work to build awareness of electricity and energy related issues in the community as well as supporting the growth and development of our member municipalities and MCE’s mission. I facilitate the reduction of electricity relates greenhouse gas emissions through promotion of MCE’s electric service options, encouraging and facilitating development of local renewable energy projects and general community engagement. My role at MCE focuses on community engagement across a wide variety of stakeholder groups through public presentations, tabling at community events and open forum discussions about electricity and energy related issues.       Girl Scout Gold Award Girl Scouts of America May 2008 I received my Girl Scout Gold Award for work in coordinating a donation campaign for the Richmond Juvenile Detention Center. I worked with two others to gather clothes, blankets, toiletries, birthday, and holiday presents for the Juveniles at the detention center.
