      As a member of the Steering Committee I had a chance to look at various key aspects of the public company "Komunalec" from Prilep, which was responsible for waste removal, recycling and public park maintenance. During our mandate, among the dozens projects we implemented, I would like to emphasize 3 key projects (first tier recycling strategy, recycling plant investment and waste dump removal) from which the whole town of Prilep had huge benefits. First of all Prilep was the first town in Macedonia to implement waste selection on household level trough dissemination of more than 20.000 recycling bins. Constant increase of employees - highest number 340 people employed. And finally, Prilep was the first town in Macedonia to start the recycling waste plant as well as complete treatment of the wasteland. Show less
