  I had heard that Del Val Window Tinting was hiring for a new installer. Although I had never applied window film before, I felt I was a quick learner and good with my hands. Del Val brought me on board, and trained me thoroughly. I quickly was able to brake out on my own and become an independent installer.Del Val Window Tinting is a flat glass window film installation company. They install film on residential and commercial buildings. Del Val has a PA, and a NJ division. I was with the NJ team. I've had the privilege of installing film on projects like Johnson & Johnson's worldwide headquarters in New Brunswick, NJ to high rise condominiums in NYC. Show less

  Car Pretty is an automotive window tinting company.I made an adjustment from flat glass film installation(residential/commercial) to automotive in late 2001. I quickly transitioned to automotive and within 2 years I was managing the shop.Shortly afterwards, CP was sold to a new owner. I remained through that transition and continued to manage for the new owner for several more years. My reputation in the industry was growing, and the dream of building my own tint shop became a reality in early 2007. I have no regrets or hard feelings for CP, and to this day they continue to put out quality work. Show less

  Shades of Gray is an automotive window tinting company.Shades of Gray (SOG) was started by myself and my brother-in-law in early 2007 after working and managing in the window film industry for the previous 7 years. After refining my craft and attention to detail, and building my reputation for many years, I decided it was time to branch off. SOG actually started as a mobile tinting company, utilizing a computer cutting system, commuting around in a box truck. This only lasted 2 months, as we quickly gained customers and word was spreading fast, so within a month we started looking for a building to set down and be a permanent location. As of April 2007 we had opened up shop in Feasterville, PA at our original location. This location was a warehouse-type space that allowed 2 to 3 vehicles at a time to be serviced. We quickly learned that the two of us could not keep up with all the incoming work so we made our first hire.Fast forward a number of years and we had outgrown our location. SOG was utilizing 8 employees and tinting 15 to 20 vehicles a day, 6 days a week. A commercial property, only 4 buildings down from SOG's location, went up for sale. So in 2014 SOG moved to it's current resting spot, which allowed for expansion! This new location allowed for 6 to 7 vehicles to be serviced at the same time, and a few more personnel were invited to the team. SOG was now able to comfortably complete 30 vehicles a day, on average.Late in 2016, after thoroughly enjoying the ride, and watching the business grow from the ground up, we had an opportunity to sell the business. In 10 years SOG had substantially grown annually since it's inception, never having a down year. The reputation was among the best in the country, and highly favored amongst our distributors. In July 2017, SOG was sold and signed over to a new owner who's dream is to expand it's growth and reputation. Nearly all of the team remained through the transition and a couple more were added.
