  Lead Safe Shelter Case Manager

  Responsible for ensuring Safe Shelter activities correlate with established goals and objectives.Provide oversight of the case management of youth in Safe Shelter and provide other staff direction, consultation, and training for Safe Shelter case management.Conduct comprehensive intake, assessment, and placement for youth eligible for the Safe Shelter Program.Provide on-going support for runaway/homeless youth including developing and monitoring client shelter placement, goals, advocacy, referrals to community resources, and outreach. Refer youth to appropriate community resources and provide follow-up monitoring and support. Direct responsibility for youth in Safe Shelter, including provision of skill training, therapeutic interventions, and behavior management.Develop and implement quality age-appropriate skill groups, activities, and programs for the Drop-In Center and Safe Shelter youth on a regular basis.Maintain current documentation and records as required for program evaluation and reporting purposes and ensure all files and reports are accurate and meet grant standards. Support street and school outreach to identify and recruit program participants.Provide case management, including consultation, screening, intervention, and crisis case management related to time sensitive needs.
